# Password Manager vs mSecure

Password Manager and mSecure both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 89% of Password Manager's written reviews are positive against 62% of mSecure's. Password Manager also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (15.5 vs 17.6). mSecure's advantage is ratings volume (51K vs 2.7K) and chart position (#193 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Password Manager sells 30 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and mSecure sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Password Manager against 4.8 for mSecure. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: mSecure has 51K ratings behind it against 2.7K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 89% of Password Manager's written reviews are positive against 62% of mSecure's.

Password Manager ships an update every 2 weeks, mSecure every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
