# Password Manager vs Strongbox

Password Manager and Strongbox are too close to call on the numbers: across 10 compared parameters — price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.

Both are free to download. Password Manager sells 30 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Strongbox sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Password Manager against 4.7 for Strongbox. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2.7K and 4.1K respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 89% of Password Manager's written reviews are positive against 84% of Strongbox's.

Password Manager ships an update every 2 weeks, Strongbox fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
