# Alora vs Student Check In

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Student Check In at 100% against Alora's 63%. Student Check In also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 9). Alora's advantage is ratings volume (2K vs 4) and update cadence (monthly vs every 6 months). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Alora sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Student Check In asks for nothing beyond the download.

Alora holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alora has 2K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Alora's written reviews are positive against 100% of Student Check In's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Alora ships an update monthly, Student Check In every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
