# SubVentory vs Prep

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Prep at 100% against SubVentory's 57%. Prep also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). SubVentory's advantage is ratings volume (20K vs 5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Prep holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SubVentory has 20K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 57% of SubVentory's written reviews are positive against 100% of Prep's.

SubVentory ships an update fortnightly, Prep weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
