# PolyGen vs TriTrace

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: TriTrace at none against PolyGen's 6. TriTrace also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 55%) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 11.0). PolyGen's advantage is rating (3.0 vs 2.7) and ratings volume (47 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PolyGen sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. TriTrace asks for nothing beyond the download.

PolyGen holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PolyGen has 47 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of PolyGen's written reviews are positive against 67% of TriTrace's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PolyGen ships an update monthly, TriTrace every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
