# IFR Trainer Flight Instruments vs ATSim

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ATSim at none against IFR Trainer Flight Instruments's 6. ATSim also leads on review sentiment (63% vs 52%) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 18.6). IFR Trainer Flight Instruments's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (952 vs 15). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IFR Trainer Flight Instruments sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. ATSim asks for nothing beyond the download.

IFR Trainer Flight Instruments holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IFR Trainer Flight Instruments has 952 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of IFR Trainer Flight Instruments's written reviews are positive against 63% of ATSim's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
