# Mocast vs GoodLinks

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Mocast at none against GoodLinks's 6. Mocast also leads on price ($4.99 vs $9.99) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). GoodLinks's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (645 vs 2). On review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Mocast costs $4.99 and GoodLinks $9.99 up front. GoodLinks sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year. Mocast asks for nothing beyond the download.

Mocast holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GoodLinks has 645 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Mocast's written reviews are positive against 80% of GoodLinks's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mocast ships an update every 9 months, GoodLinks fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
