# Strongbox vs PasswordsApp password manager

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Strongbox at 4.1K against PasswordsApp password manager's 6. Strongbox also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Strongbox sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and PasswordsApp password manager sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
