# Strongbox vs Password Manager (2FAS Pass)

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Strongbox at 4.1K against Password Manager (2FAS Pass)'s 26. Strongbox also leads on device support (5 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.4). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Strongbox sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Password Manager (2FAS Pass) sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Strongbox holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Strongbox has 4.1K ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 84% of Strongbox's written reviews are positive against 80% of Password Manager (2FAS Pass)'s.

Strongbox ships an update fortnightly, Password Manager (2FAS Pass) every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
