# Retrogaming Collection vs Guitar Part !

The clearest difference is monetization model: Retrogaming Collection at free against Guitar Part !'s free with in-app purchases. Guitar Part !'s advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Retrogaming Collection sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Guitar Part ! sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Retrogaming Collection ships an update every 3 months, Guitar Part ! fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
