# Rundown Assistant vs ChatConnect

The clearest difference is rating: ChatConnect at 4.7 against Rundown Assistant's 4.0. ChatConnect also leads on ratings volume (352 vs 4). Rundown Assistant's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rundown Assistant sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month and ChatConnect sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $5.59 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ChatConnect holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ChatConnect has 352 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Rundown Assistant's written reviews are positive against 70% of ChatConnect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rundown Assistant ships an update weekly, ChatConnect fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
