# Daily Beast vs Veracity

The clearest difference is ads: Veracity at none against Daily Beast's shown. Veracity also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Daily Beast's advantage is ratings volume (7.7K vs 2) and chart position (#64 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Daily Beast sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Veracity sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Veracity holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Daily Beast has 7.7K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Daily Beast ships an update fortnightly, Veracity every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
