# Xender vs SendMe

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Xender at none against SendMe's 4. Xender also leads on review sentiment (64% vs 37%) and ratings volume (18K vs 558). SendMe's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 4.1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SendMe sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Xender asks for nothing beyond the download.

SendMe holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Xender has 18K ratings behind it against 558, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Xender's written reviews are positive against 37% of SendMe's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Xender ships an update every 5 weeks, SendMe every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
