# app2drive vs Hop

The clearest difference is monetization model: Hop at free against app2drive's free with in-app purchases. Hop also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

app2drive ships an update every 2 months, Hop fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
