# DICE vs Helga

DICE and Helga both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 80% of Helga's written reviews are positive against 48% of DICE's. Helga also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). DICE's advantage is ratings volume (86K vs 37) and chart position (#4 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for DICE against 4.8 for Helga. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DICE has 86K ratings behind it against 37, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 48% of DICE's written reviews are positive against 80% of Helga's.

DICE ships an update weekly, Helga every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
