# DICE vs Cassetto

DICE and Cassetto both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Cassetto's written reviews are positive against 48% of DICE's. Cassetto also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). DICE's advantage is ratings volume (86K vs 19) and chart position (#14 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for DICE against 5.0 for Cassetto. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DICE has 86K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 48% of DICE's written reviews are positive against 100% of Cassetto's.

DICE ships an update weekly, Cassetto every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
