# FREEIP vs IP Camera Viewer

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: FREEIP at none against IP Camera Viewer's 14. FREEIP also leads on rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). IP Camera Viewer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (39% vs 25%). On price and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IP Camera Viewer sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. FREEIP asks for nothing beyond the download.

FREEIP holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1.2K and 1.2K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of FREEIP's written reviews are positive against 39% of IP Camera Viewer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FREEIP ships an update monthly, IP Camera Viewer fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
