# Planit Pro vs Intervalometer for Sony

The clearest difference is price: Intervalometer for Sony at Free against Planit Pro's $9.99. Intervalometer for Sony also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 72%). Planit Pro's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 months). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Intervalometer for Sony is free to download; Planit Pro costs $9.99 up front. Planit Pro sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Intervalometer for Sony sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Planit Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Planit Pro has 1.5K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Planit Pro's written reviews are positive against 100% of Intervalometer for Sony's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Planit Pro ships an update every 2 weeks, Intervalometer for Sony every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
