# WiFi File Transfer vs Pro Map Tools

The clearest difference is rating: Pro Map Tools at 4.0 against WiFi File Transfer's 2.3. Pro Map Tools also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (9 vs 3). WiFi File Transfer's advantage is review sentiment (62% vs 50%) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

WiFi File Transfer costs $2.99 and Pro Map Tools $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pro Map Tools holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of WiFi File Transfer's written reviews are positive against 50% of Pro Map Tools's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WiFi File Transfer ships an update every 2 months, Pro Map Tools every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
