# WiFi File Transfer vs Locked Folder Pro

The clearest difference is review sentiment: WiFi File Transfer at 62% against Locked Folder Pro's 8%. WiFi File Transfer also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 54 months) and price ($2.99 vs $6.99). Locked Folder Pro's advantage is rating (2.6 vs 2.3). On ratings volume, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

WiFi File Transfer costs $2.99 and Locked Folder Pro $6.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Locked Folder Pro holds the better App Store score, 2.6 against 2.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of WiFi File Transfer's written reviews are positive against 8% of Locked Folder Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WiFi File Transfer ships an update every 2 months, Locked Folder Pro every 54 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
