# Leaf on the Wind vs Dark Blue Dungeon

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Leaf on the Wind at none against Dark Blue Dungeon's 1. Leaf on the Wind also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.8 vs 4.4). Dark Blue Dungeon's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 19 months) and ratings volume (51 vs 4). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dark Blue Dungeon sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Leaf on the Wind asks for nothing beyond the download.

Leaf on the Wind holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dark Blue Dungeon has 51 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Leaf on the Wind's written reviews are positive against 63% of Dark Blue Dungeon's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Leaf on the Wind ships an update every 19 months, Dark Blue Dungeon every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
