# Northeastern Orientation vs Preptly

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Northeastern Orientation at 75% against Preptly's 28%. Northeastern Orientation also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 15) and ads (none vs shown). Preptly's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.9) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Preptly sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Northeastern Orientation asks for nothing beyond the download.

Preptly holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Preptly has 247 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Northeastern Orientation's written reviews are positive against 28% of Preptly's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Northeastern Orientation ships an update every 3 months, Preptly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
