# NoteBox vs MyNotebook

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MyNotebook at none against NoteBox's 10. MyNotebook also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and ratings volume (43 vs 10). NoteBox's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NoteBox sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. MyNotebook asks for nothing beyond the download.

MyNotebook holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 10 and 43 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of NoteBox's written reviews are positive against 88% of MyNotebook's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
