# NoteBox vs Whenever

The clearest difference is update cadence: Whenever at weekly against NoteBox's monthly. NoteBox's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NoteBox sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Whenever sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NoteBox ships an update monthly, Whenever weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
