# Bither vs Blockstream Bitcoin Wallet

The clearest difference is rating: Blockstream Bitcoin Wallet at 4.7 against Bither's 3.1. Blockstream Bitcoin Wallet also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 61). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Blockstream Bitcoin Wallet holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blockstream Bitcoin Wallet has 1.2K ratings behind it against 61, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of Bither's written reviews are positive against 48% of Blockstream Bitcoin Wallet's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bither ships an update every 3 months, Blockstream Bitcoin Wallet every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
