# Auricula vs Interval

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Interval at none against Auricula's 1. Interval also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 79%) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 3 months). Auricula's advantage is ratings volume (71 vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Auricula sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Interval asks for nothing beyond the download.

Interval holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Auricula has 71 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 79% of Auricula's written reviews are positive against 100% of Interval's.

Auricula ships an update every 3 months, Interval every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
