# Visual Hear vs CaribTap

The clearest difference is ads: Visual Hear at none against CaribTap's shown. CaribTap's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Visual Hear sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and CaribTap sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Visual Hear ships an update every 2 months, CaribTap fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
