# Simeji vs Furiganify!

The clearest difference is rating: Simeji at 4.6 against Furiganify!'s 4.0. Simeji also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 8). Furiganify!'s advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 19) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simeji sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Furiganify! asks for nothing beyond the download.

Simeji holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simeji has 1.2K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Simeji's written reviews are positive against 72% of Furiganify!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Simeji ships an update every 2 weeks, Furiganify! every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
