# Simeji vs IsTalk

The clearest difference is rating: IsTalk at 5.0 against Simeji's 4.6. IsTalk also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks). Simeji's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 2) and review sentiment (64% vs 49%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simeji sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and IsTalk sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

IsTalk holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simeji has 1.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Simeji's written reviews are positive against 49% of IsTalk's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Simeji ships an update every 2 weeks, IsTalk every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
