# Simeji vs MuxPlayer

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MuxPlayer at none against Simeji's 19. MuxPlayer also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (80% vs 64%). Simeji's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 8) and rating (4.6 vs 4.4). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simeji sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. MuxPlayer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Simeji holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simeji has 1.2K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Simeji's written reviews are positive against 80% of MuxPlayer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
