# The Yeti vs Virtual Pet

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Virtual Pet at 34 against The Yeti's 1. Virtual Pet also leads on device support. The Yeti's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The Yeti holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Virtual Pet has 34 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
