# Just Saying vs Language King

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Language King at none against Just Saying's 5. Language King also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 8 months) and rating (4.3 vs 4.1). Just Saying's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (73% vs 50%). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Just Saying sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Language King asks for nothing beyond the download.

Language King holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Just Saying has 15 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Just Saying's written reviews are positive against 50% of Language King's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Just Saying ships an update every 8 months, Language King weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
