# dMemo vs Guru VPN

The clearest difference is rating: dMemo at 5.0 against Guru VPN's 4.5. dMemo also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 14). Guru VPN's advantage is ratings volume (1.9K vs 1) and update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Guru VPN sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. dMemo asks for nothing beyond the download.

dMemo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Guru VPN has 1.9K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of dMemo's written reviews are positive against 77% of Guru VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

dMemo ships an update monthly, Guru VPN every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
