# dMemo vs Simple Notes

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: dMemo at none against Simple Notes's 3. dMemo also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Simple Notes's advantage is ratings volume (791 vs 1) and review sentiment (87% vs 75%). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simple Notes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. dMemo asks for nothing beyond the download.

dMemo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple Notes has 791 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of dMemo's written reviews are positive against 87% of Simple Notes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

dMemo ships an update monthly, Simple Notes every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
