# Tex vs SLYNUMBER

The clearest difference is rating: SLYNUMBER at 4.5 against Tex's 3.6. SLYNUMBER also leads on ratings volume (2.6K vs 5) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). Tex's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 8) and review sentiment (67% vs 33%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SLYNUMBER sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $10.00 per year. Tex asks for nothing beyond the download.

SLYNUMBER holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SLYNUMBER has 2.6K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Tex's written reviews are positive against 33% of SLYNUMBER's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tex ships an update every 2 months, SLYNUMBER every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
