# Scout Champ vs Bark

Scout Champ and Bark both sit at 4.3 stars, but that hides the real split: 85% of Scout Champ's written reviews are positive against 13% of Bark's. Scout Champ also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.1). Bark's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 19 months) and ratings volume (36K vs 53). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bark sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Scout Champ asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for Scout Champ against 4.3 for Bark.
