# Scout Champ vs Trimbox

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Scout Champ at none against Trimbox's 16. Scout Champ also leads on review sentiment (85% vs 52%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.1). Trimbox's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 19 months) and rating (4.7 vs 4.3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trimbox sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $4.19 per 7 days. Scout Champ asks for nothing beyond the download.

Trimbox holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Trimbox has 5.9K ratings behind it against 53, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Scout Champ's written reviews are positive against 52% of Trimbox's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Scout Champ ships an update every 19 months, Trimbox every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
