# Avoid The Pipes vs MODBOX

The clearest difference is rating: MODBOX at 4.7 against Avoid The Pipes's 4.0. MODBOX also leads on review sentiment (76% vs 50%) and ratings volume (406 vs 6). Avoid The Pipes's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (daily vs every 2 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Avoid The Pipes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and MODBOX sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MODBOX holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MODBOX has 406 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.
