# SecureMary vs Citrix Secure Mail

The clearest difference is rating: Citrix Secure Mail at 4.5 against SecureMary's 3.7. Citrix Secure Mail also leads on ratings volume (5.9K vs 3). SecureMary's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 81%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Citrix Secure Mail holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Citrix Secure Mail has 5.9K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of SecureMary's written reviews are positive against 81% of Citrix Secure Mail's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SecureMary ships an update every 2 months, Citrix Secure Mail every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
