# Whiteboard Junior vs MagPaint

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MagPaint at 100% against Whiteboard Junior's 56%. MagPaint also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 15.0). Whiteboard Junior's advantage is rating (3.8 vs 3.3) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MagPaint sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whiteboard Junior asks for nothing beyond the download.

Whiteboard Junior holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Whiteboard Junior has 162 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Whiteboard Junior's written reviews are positive against 100% of MagPaint's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Whiteboard Junior ships an update every 10 months, MagPaint every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
