# Exam Guide vs SSC Testbook

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Exam Guide at none against SSC Testbook's 1. Exam Guide also leads on review sentiment (60% vs 50%) and iOS requirement (7.1 vs 13.4). SSC Testbook's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SSC Testbook sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Exam Guide asks for nothing beyond the download.

Exam Guide ships an update every 2 months, SSC Testbook every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
