# Whip Swing vs Dropple

The clearest difference is ads: Dropple at none against Whip Swing's shown. Dropple also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 12 months) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 13.0). Whip Swing's advantage is ratings volume (65 vs 13). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Whip Swing sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Dropple sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for Whip Swing against 4.2 for Dropple. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Whip Swing has 65 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 75% of Whip Swing's written reviews are positive against 67% of Dropple's.

Whip Swing ships an update every 12 months, Dropple every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
