# Blackie vs PICSCAM

The clearest difference is price: PICSCAM at Free against Blackie's $3.99. PICSCAM also leads on rating (3.7 vs 3.1). Blackie's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

PICSCAM is free to download; Blackie costs $3.99 up front. PICSCAM sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Blackie asks for nothing beyond the download.

PICSCAM holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blackie has 44 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Blackie's written reviews are positive against 38% of PICSCAM's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
