# Matco Tools vs SuncentAuto

The clearest difference is rating: Matco Tools at 4.7 against SuncentAuto's 2.0. Matco Tools also leads on ratings volume (5.1K vs 4). SuncentAuto's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Matco Tools holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Matco Tools has 5.1K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of Matco Tools's written reviews are positive against 50% of SuncentAuto's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Matco Tools ships an update every 6 weeks, SuncentAuto weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
