# Matco Tools vs EdgeTec Hooks

The clearest difference is monetization model: EdgeTec Hooks at free against Matco Tools's free with in-app purchases. EdgeTec Hooks also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.7). Matco Tools's advantage is ratings volume (5.1K vs 11). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EdgeTec Hooks holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Matco Tools has 5.1K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two.
