# bol vs LOAVIES

bol and LOAVIES both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 67% of LOAVIES's written reviews are positive against 36% of bol's. LOAVIES also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). bol's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 7) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for bol against 4.6 for LOAVIES. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: bol has 1.3K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 36% of bol's written reviews are positive against 67% of LOAVIES's.

bol ships an update weekly, LOAVIES monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
