# SideСhef vs SmartForkAI

The clearest difference is update cadence: SideСhef at every 2 months against SmartForkAI's every 14 months. SideСhef also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SideСhef sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and SmartForkAI sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SideСhef ships an update every 2 months, SmartForkAI every 14 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
