# SideСhef vs CookTable

The clearest difference is update cadence: CookTable at every 3 weeks against SideСhef's every 2 months. SideСhef's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SideСhef sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and CookTable sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SideСhef ships an update every 2 months, CookTable every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
