Better Ping watches the hosts you care about and tells you when one stops answering. Add a host, IP, or URL. Better Ping pings it when the system allows ICMP, and falls back to TCP, HTTP, or HTTPS when it does not. Group monitors, keep favorites, and open a report for one host or for a whole group: uptime, latency, outages, and how this period compares with the one before it. Alerts fire on the iPhone when a host goes down and when it comes back, including how long it was down. Widgets and the Lock Screen show the same status. Apple Watch shows the list. Tools on the device include ping, traceroute, DNS, a port check, an HTTP timing check, WHOIS and a public-IP lookup, a speed test, and a LAN scan. Results stay on the device. There is no account. The free plan holds 10 monitors and favorites together. Better Ping Unlimited is a monthly subscription that removes that cap. Hosts you already saved stay on the device if the subscription ends. Better Ping Unlimited renews every month until you cancel. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
