# aa vs Fading Light

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Fading Light at none against aa's 8. Fading Light also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). aa's advantage is ratings volume (11K vs 29) and rating (3.9 vs 3.6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. aa sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Fading Light asks for nothing beyond the download.

aa holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: aa has 11K ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two.
